Partner With Us
Career readiness doesn’t happen in one place. Students build it in the classroom, in conversations with faculty and staff, and through the coaching and resources CPD provides. Whether you’re helping students explore majors, prepare for internships, or transition into the workforce, Career & Professional Development is here to support you.
We partner with faculty and staff to integrate career development into the student experience through classroom presentations, career resources, employer connections, and individualized student support.
Bring Career Into Your Course
Request a Presentation
Our team offers engaging, activity-based presentations that help students build career readiness through discussion, reflection, and hands-on practice. Presentations are available for classes, student organizations, and campus programs.
Available Presentations:
Introduce students to Career & Professional Development through a guided experience of our office and resources. Students will learn where we’re located, what services we offer, and how to use our resources throughout their time at UNCG.
Note: This presentation is hosted in our office for groups of up to 40 students. For larger groups, we’ll come to your classroom.
This is our new presentation for resumes and cover letters. Students become the hiring team by reviewing resumes and cover letters, discussing applicant strengths, and making hiring decisions together. This interactive approach helps students understand what employers look for and how to create stronger application materials.
Students practice answering behavioral interview questions using the START framework, evaluate sample responses, and learn what employers are assessing during interviews. They’ll also develop thoughtful questions to ask employers at the end of an interview.
Students discover that networking starts with the connections they already have. During this workshop, they’ll map their network, write a professional outreach message, and practice introducing themselves through a professional pitch.
Students connect their academic experiences, interests, and skills to potential career paths. They’ll identify career options, explore opportunities that align with their goals, and create a personalized roadmap for their time at UNCG.
Students prepare for the Career Fair by researching employers, developing a strategy for navigating the event, and practicing their introduction. They leave with a personalized plan for making the most of the Career Fair.
Available prior to each Career Fair.
