Read about our commitment to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Access

UNCG Career & Professional Development recognizes and respects the numerous intersections of identities people hold, particularly when it comes to how these identities intersect with the workplace. We embrace and celebrate the diversity each student brings to our campus community and our team is committed to maintaining an inclusive environment where students feel supported to pursue their own unique career goals.

We recognize that certain groups have historically been and continue to be marginalized in the application process, interview process and workplace. Racism, sexism, gender discrimination, ageism, heterosexism, xenophobia, faith-based discrimination, classism and ableism along with the many intersections of these forms of discrimination are real, prevalent, and harmful. We acknowledge that not every student has equal access to career-related opportunities and networks. We collectively dedicate ourselves to providing student programming and employer education that aims to level the playing field for all UNCG students.

We understand that working toward social justice and dismantling systems of oppression is an ongoing process. We commit to being lifelong learners, listeners, and advocates for change.
